Job Description:The Senior Director, CPP Operations Excellence (OpEx) will serve as the Chief of Staff for the Consumer Products & Platforms (CPP) team, the largest function within Global Technology. This strategic role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of the organization's most critical initiatives, driving value realization, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of directors and managers - provide strategic vision for the department while also balancing near term deliverables
- Collaborate with the SVP to develop, execute and monitor strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and being the voice of the organization in meetings and discussions as needed
- Work closely with Global Technology leaders and cross-functional teams to drive initiatives, influence outcomes, and ensure cohesive execution
- Create, implement, and oversee value realization efforts for CPP programs
- Anticipate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and evaluate business cases and effectively advocate for necessary investments.
- Oversees financial stewardship in partnership with Finance team including budget management, financial planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of funds and alignment with strategic goals
- Develop communications with a clear focus on improved transparency and strategic alignment
- Drives the preparation and facilitation of executive meetings, strategic off-sites, and quarterly business reviews.
- Develop, implement, and refine processes and routines to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the team.
- Define, track, and operationalize KPIs to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver concise, compelling, data driven business recommendations as you update the leadership team and decision-makers on project status and progress
- Ensure professional development, performance management and succession planning activities to build and retain a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that aligns with the organization's values and mission.
- Establish practices to embed and include industry trends and competitive research in CPP.

The expected salary range for this role is $193,610 - $251,690 per year

- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 15+ years’ experience working in business, technology, organizational effectiveness, organizational excellence, business process optimization, continuous improvement, or other related areas.
- Experience at Director level or equivalent with a variety of organizational practices, including strategic work, financial management, operations excellence, and organizational practices.
- Exceptional communication skills, including written deliverables, oral presentations, and the ability to facilitate crucial conversations at all levels of the organization
- Superior organizational skills are critical to establish and meet deadlines, communicate strategy up, out, and down, and to ensure overall CPP is prepared and resourced to meet strategic objectives.
- Capable of being structured and methodical, while also flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs, technology innovation, and organizational transformation.
- Able to navigate complexity, various stakeholder needs, while delivering tangible outcomes.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful operations excellence strategies including operating model, core processes, meetings and events, cross functional initiatives, communications and liaison activities.
- Ability to work across diverse teams to enable change and establish operational cadences.
- Able to specifically partner with peer and senior leaders in Global Technology, Strategy and Planning, Financial Planning and Analysis, Human Resources Management, and Operational Excellence.
- Aware of industry and technology trends, and open to cultivating ideas of adoption and innovation.
- Experience as director or equivalent role in building culture across the team and organization.
- Demonstrated combination of education and years of director level experience showing ability to collaborate with senior leader teams, provide strategic recommendations, and execute action.
- Comfortable working across local and international teams, on-site, hybrid, and virtual environments.
- Able to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and oversee team members working in these applications.
- Comfortable to use, navigate, or learn Smartsheet and other digital tools and dashboards.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with the McDonald’s business model, including intimate knowledge of our markets, market priorities, and key leaders.
- Master’s in Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science
- QSR industry experience.
