Department Overview
This Strategic Alignment Manager will work with the USRD (US Restaurant Development) Chief of Staff and USRD Leadership team to drive communications, alignment and organizational support across the function.
Acting as a critical thought partner and critical advisor, the successful candidate will be a personable networker, clear communicator, and attuned listener who works collaboratively to run priorities among stakeholders.
This person will handle unique projects and initiatives, including support, logistics and execution of leadership team touchpoints and coordination of outreach across a wide array of internal and external partners.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule out of our global headquarters (MHQ) in the West Loop of Chicago, IL (USA). The in-office requirement for this role is 3 days/week.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to define and develop the strategic vision and key priorities, ensuring alignment, awareness, understanding, and advocacy across the organization.
- Trust Building and Communication: Partner with franchisee leadership teams to build trust and effectively communicate the strategic vision.
- Central Communication Hub: Provide executive communications for leadership meetings and presentations. Serve as the central point of contact for sharing updates, process changes, and tools among all stakeholders.
- Communication Channel Ownership: Manage all communication channels and plans for new initiatives, including the @mcd website, newsletters, and vision planning.
- Event Planning and Management: Plan and manage large-scale events, both virtual and in-person.
- Rhythm of Business Oversight: Oversee the organization's rhythm of business, including the cadence of meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional touchpoints
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree is required.
- 5-10 years of previous work experience within management consulting, strategic planning, program management and/or communications, specifically at the executive level.
- Previous change management and organizational development experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Excel & PPT.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; self-drive to collect data needed to determine most efficient or impactful path forward.
- Ability to navigate, orchestrate, and work through complex issues with a strategic, tactical, and fresh perspective.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and support multiple high priority work streams.
- Exceptional leadership management capabilities with the ability to effectively handle expectations and build support across many levels of organization.
- Excellent communicator and listener who can translate multiple perspectives and complex processes into simple, digestible messages and calls to action.

The expected salary range for this role is $112,800 - $143,900 / per year
